Reading in Renfrew-Collingwood.

Renfrew-Collingwood is one of the few Vancouver neighbourhoods with two public library branches. The Renfrew branch on East 22nd Avenue sits beside Renfrew Park Community Centre, and the Collingwood branch is on Kingsway, so most residents have a library within an easy walk.

Collingwood Neighbourhood House, a short walk south of Joyce–Collingwood station, has worked in the neighbourhood since 1985, with programs from arts and culture to food security and child care. Its carved Multicultural Gateway marks the Joyce Street entrance, and it is a lively noticeboard for everything happening nearby.

The neighbourhood has four SkyTrain stations: Renfrew and Rupert on the Millennium Line, and 29th Avenue and Joyce–Collingwood on the Expo Line. Between them, Renfrew Ravine Park follows Still Creek through a wooded gully, while Slocan Park and Falaise Park offer open lawns for a summer meeting. Few parts of the east side are as easy to reach from so many directions.
